Dear Fellow Servant(s) of Christ:

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” (Romans 15:13).  This letter comes to you from hearts of gratitude for what God has done for all of mankind through his Son, Jesus Christ.  He gives hope when there is no hope.  He gives joy when circumstances say there should be no joy.   He gives us wisdom when we don’t know what to do (James 1:5).  He gives us meaning to life and a reason to live when we know Him.  Praise His holy name!

Luke 15:6 – “Be happy with me because I found my lost sheep.”  In Max Lucado’s Everyday Blessings devotional, he shares this about the above verse:  “When Jesus told the story of the missing sheep, some of the people who were listening wiped away a tear because they knew how it feels to be lost among the crowd.  Jesus wanted us to understand that we have a Father who sees and cares for each one of his children and that we are all equally valuable to him.”

Thank you, Jesus, that SITG has been able to find and minister to some of these lost sheep.  In March, April and May, you helped to move or supply furniture and household items to six ladies from Bethlehem Haven, three families through Interfaith Hospitality Network, one woman from Family Links, and two women who were referred by individual contacts.   We continue to follow-up with these “sheep” if they want us to.  A special “you’re the best” goes out to the people who put their “hands to the plow” to accomplish all of this in Jesus name.  Also, we must thank Alexis from the Devonshire in Mt. Lebanon, the South Hills Church of the Nazarene, the Rotary Club of Bethel Park, Compassion Connection, and Calvary Full Gospel Assembly of God for their support and encouragement.

As you know, our greatest desire is to minister to the hurting in anonymous, behind the scene ways so that the recipients will glorify and thank our precious Savior directly.  Since our last newsletter the following has occurred:
